Fasoo to Showcase Data Protection Leadership at RSA® Conference USA 2014
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- Fasoo, Inc., the leader in Data and Software Security, announced today that it will showcase its full range of data protection solutions at RSA Conference USA 2014, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Feb. 24-28. Visitors to Fasoo’s booth (#1721) will see demonstrations of Fasoo’s entire product line of data security solutions which meet organizations’ increasing demands for protection of files from internal and external threats.
“Our theme at this year’s RSA Conference is, ‘What keeps your CEO up at night?’” said Bill Blake, President of Fasoo USA. “Until recently, most well-publicized data breaches involved outsider threats. However, the revelations by Edward Snowden about the National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance programs has organizations increasingly worried about threats from the inside – making it increasingly difficult to allow employees to legitimately share sensitive data. At RSA, Fasoo will demonstrate technology that enables continuous encryption, precise permission control and intelligent monitoring – all tools that can help your CEO sleep better in this new complex environment.”
At Fasoo’s booth, a team of experts will help provide answers to businesses’ unique security challenges. This includes the ability to easily and securely access sensitive information from mobile, virtual or cloud environments using Fasoo Enterprise DRM, with a special focus on protecting data on mobile devices with the newly introduced Fasoo Mobile Solution.
Fasoo Mobile Solution: Mobile Data and Access Management
Fasoo Mobile Solution, is the industry’s only MDAM (Mobile Data and Access Management) solution, which guarantees data protection and server access management that enables mobile workers to communicate and collaborate through smartphones and tablets.
Recent studies show that two-thirds of employees use personal mobile devices at work, regardless of their company’s BYOD (“bring-your-own-device”) policy, and half of smartphone and tablet users do not password protect their devices. This leaves sensitive files – business proposals, financial statements, contracts and other documents – vulnerable to data breaches.
Fasoo Mobile Solution allows organizations to prevent data breaches while enabling employees to work on their mobile devices. It offers a robust set of enhanced benefits, including protecting data downloaded from a web application system (ECM, EDM, ERP and groupware), protecting data shared through mobile devices, strengthening file usage management, and improving security by controlling access to files based on geographical data.
“Many organizations focused on implementing a BYOD policy are asking themselves the wrong question,” Blake said. “It’s not a matter of ‘Should we allow employees to use their own personal mobile devices at work, or not?’ Employees are going to use their personal devices for work regardless of the policy. The real question is, ‘How can we make sure our data remains safe from exposure with BYOD?’ Fasoo Mobile Solution is the only solution that allows organizations to confidently address those concerns.”
EDRM integration with WWPass® and IBM FileNet
Fasoo also announced new integrated capabilities that increase the potency of its products. These include:
● WWPass integration: The future of secure access – Fasoo’s Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM) system now works with the authentication technology of partner WWPass. The combination of Fasoo and WWPass capabilities gives users easy file access along with total protection from unauthorized use. Rather than rely on the often ineffective use of username and password pairs, the WWPass tool effectively manages who is accessing information, forcing users to pass a three stage authentication process, only then being granted access to a protected file. Fasoo’s EDRM system then controls what a user can do with a file, such as view, edit, print or screen capture, while persistent security remains in place, providing data managers with peace of mind.
● IBM FileNet integration: Fasoo’s integration with IBM’s enterprise content management (ECM) system FileNet extends the access controls inside the ECM to files as they are removed from the safety of the repository. Fasoo’s Secure Document for FileNet deploys precise permission control regardless of the file’s location. Viewing and editing rights to a file remain the same as if the user were operating within a FileNet folder, even if accessed on a desktop or mobile device outside, preserving the integrity of sensitive data in motion.
Feb. 26 panel discussion for CIOs and CISOs
Further demonstrating its leadership in data protection, Fasoo is co-sponsoring a breakfast and panel discussion titled, “Is Your Current Strategy Protecting Yesterday’s Threats?” The discussion will take place Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. PST, at the Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel in San Francisco. This panel will give CIOs and CISOs insight into how they can migrate to new technologies that will protect their data while keeping users productive. Get more information and RSVP here.
