First New Domain Name Extensions Available From Easyspace From 4pm Today
Glasgow, Scotland (PRWEB UK) 5 February 2014 -- Easyspace, one of the UK’s largest domain name providers, has been accredited by global top level domain name registry operator Donuts to provide registration services for the hundred plus new generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) it has secured from ICANN.
From 4pm today the first wave of new extensions will be available for purchase at http://www.easyspace.com/domain-names/new-gtlds. Seven gTLDs - .bike, .clothing, .guru, .holdings, .plumbing, .singles, and .ventures - will be available to register in the General Availability phase. This means anyone can register names in these gTLDs on a first-come, first-served basis.
The confirmation of accreditation means anyone can use Easyspace to register gTLDs made available by Donuts over the coming months. Donuts has signed more new gTLD contracts with ICANN, than any other registry operator.
The Easyspace new gTLDs website also allows anyone interested in securing their online presence to create a virtual shopping basket of the domain name extensions they are interested in, whether they are in the early brand protection phase called Sunrise or any of the other availability phases.
.guru appears to be one of the most popular names going into General Availability. According to the Easyspace marketing team this is because it highlights an individual, business or brand as a provider of specialist knowledge and services.
Sarah Haran, Managing Director of Easyspace, said: “It’s not hard to see how promoting yourself online as a business guru or a sports guru will help set you apart from others in your field of expertise. A lot of freelance web designers for instance are telling us that they’ll be looking to register .guru but you could equally be a yoga guru or a mortgage guru, the list is endless.”
With hundreds of new gTLDs being made available over the next few months, the Easyspace website explains what the different launch periods mean. It also allows people to search for specific domain extensions that are yet to be released.
