Florida Hospital Physician Group Welcomes New Colon & Rectal Surgeon
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) March 17, 2016 -- Florida Hospital Physician Group (FHPG) is pleased to announce the addition of Allen P. Chudzinski, MD, FACS to Florida Hospital Physician Group. Dr. Chudzinski is a highly experienced, board certified colon and rectal surgeon who will serve as Medical Director for the Advanced Center for Colorectal Surgery, a part of the Digestive Health Institute at Florida Hospital Tampa.
Dr. Chudzinski earned his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, before completing his internship in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Manhattan, part of New York Medical College, in New York. He completed his surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, part of Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts, before completing his fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He served as the Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., for six years, where he also maintained the position of Assistant Professor with Georgetown University.
Dr. Chudzinski specializes in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, surgical treatment of colon and rectal cancer, colon and rectal polyps, fecal incontinence, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and anorectal disorders. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
Dr. Chudzinski will work in close collaboration with fellow FHPG physicians in the Digestive Health Institute, including Dr. Michael Harris, Dr. Arthi Sanjeevi, Dr. Yasser Saloum, Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy and Dr. Sharona B. Ross, all located at Florida Hospital Tampa.
