Fluence Bioengineering Welcomes Horticulture Industry Veteran to Leadership Team
Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 06, 2016 -- Fluence Bioengineering is pleased to announce that horticulture industry veteran Tom Contrisciano has joined the Fluence leadership team as Director of Horticulture Sales. Contrisciano brings 30 years of experience in the commercial horticulture industry including technical and product support and sales in both hard goods and green goods.
“LED technology has turned horticulture production into a high-tech industry where quick and accurate adoption and implementation is paramount to the success of commercial producers,” said Nick Klase, Co-Founder and CEO of Fluence Bioengineering. “We are thrilled to have Tom on our team to help ensure the success of our clients who are on the forefront of the changing agriculture landscape.”
Contrisciano will pull from his decades of diversified horticulture experience to assist in the deployment of optimized lighting solutions for edible and ornamental floriculture producers in greenhouse and vertical farming facilities. He spent most of his career throughout North America where he gained an understanding and appreciation of the regional differences and intricacies that impact producers’ business and cultivation needs.
“The future of crop production rests on our shoulders to do more with less, and nothing exemplifies that more than the work being done at Fluence,” said Contrisciano. “I look forward to helping customers navigate the exciting world of LED systems, and seizing the opportunity they represent for the horticulture industry.”
Prior to Fluence, Contrisciano was the Technical Product Representative throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic for PanAmerican and Kieft Seed Co. where he aided growers in choosing the best product options to maximize their production efficiencies and profits. Prior to PanAmerican, Contrisciano was the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Eastern Canada Sales Manager for ornamentals grower, The Paul Ecke Ranch. Contrisciano holds a Master of Science in Greenhouse Crop Production and a dual Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Business from Penn State University.
