FoodHandler Launches oneSAFE (TM) Single-Glove Dispensing System
St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- FoodHandler, Inc., a leading developer and supplier of high-quality disposable gloves, bags and apparel, introduces oneSAFE (TM), a first-of-its-kind proprietary dispensing system for the food industry that enables users to pull out a single glove by the cuff and don it without touching the food-handling surface. This simple difference reduces the risk of cross contamination by 96 percent.
“Since eighty-nine percent of foodborne illness is caused by improper hand hygiene, a system like oneSAFE will help the food industry protect its customers and employees while improving efficiencies and brand image,” said FoodHandler Marketing Manager Cory Sexson. “With products such as oneSAFE, FoodHandler continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation by providing new technologies and solutions that help our customers operate more efficiently.”
In March, the oneSAFE system will be available with powder-free gloves in either vinyl or nitrile. While improving food safety, oneSAFE will also help the food industry reduce waste and increase efficiency. The one-at-a-time dispensing system decreases waste versus traditional dispensers that do not control the number of gloves pulled or how they are touched. The gloves are 50 percent faster to put on, improving speed of service. To encourage use, operators may install the system’s acrylic dispenser holders wherever they are visible and convenient for staff.
Additionally, the compact packaging system reduces environmental impact by lowering transportation and logistics costs while reducing cardboard waste by as much as 25 percent and required storage space by as much as 30 percent.
The oneSAFE system is available exclusively from FoodHandler. For more information about oneSAFE, call FoodHandler at 800-338-4433 or visit http://www.FoodHandler.com.
