Forbes Names Compassion International One of America’s Best Employers
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (PRWEB) May 11, 2017 -- Compassion International, a holistic child development-through-sponsorship organization, today announced that it has been named one of America’s Best Midsize Employers in 2017 by Forbes Magazine. Compassion ranks number 40 on the list, the highest ranked Colorado-based company in the category, and sits among 300 employers nationwide chosen for the award.
Forbes determined its America’s Best Employers list by partnering with Statista, a database and consumer research firm, which anonymously surveyed thousands of employees across multiple industries at companies with 1,000 to 5,000 U.S. workers. The list names the best places to work in America based on employee satisfaction, pay and workplace environment, among other considerations. One of the most important factors in the assessment is how likely the employee is to recommend their employer to friends and family.
“We are honored to be recognized as a great place to work,” said Tom Beck, Compassion’s vice president of human resources. “Employees choose Compassion because of the impact we’re making on the lives of children living in poverty around the world. We are proud to build and support a culture for our employees that makes Compassion an enjoyable and unique workplace. Rescuing children from poverty is a more than a job, it’s a calling, and our employees are here in response to that calling.”
From 2012 to 2014, Compassion also received the Gallup Organization’s Great Workplace Award, which recognizes the top workplaces in the world for demonstrating an extraordinary ability to create an engaged workplace culture.
