Furniture Stores in Sacramento: Fine Leather Furnishings by Hancock and Moore Has a New Home at McCreery's Home Furnishings in Sacramento
Sacramento, California (PRWEB) December 16, 2013 -- Savvy consumers see value and prestige in owning handcrafted home furnishings; McCreery's Home Furnishings ( http://www.mccreerys.com) understands this desire of our clientele and has selected one of the nation's top manufactures to join the selection of other top name brands found at McCreery's Home Furnishings.
Hancock and Moore's products are durably built. They are one of the last manufacturers to use the eight way hand tie system. The time consuming technique takes a great amount of time and care, and is typically found in only the finest of antique furniture. The process is done by tying each seat coil with a heavy cord using a minimum of eight knots; the resulting masterpiece will sit firm and provide comfortable support for years to come. In addition to using the eight way hand tie system, the materials used to build the furniture frames are only grade A wood. Much of the upholstered frames are constructed with solid maple, a wood known for its strength and durability. The frames are then assembled using a technique which incorporates double doweling and glue. After this, each joint is glued once more and screwed into place for extra reinforcement. This ensures that over time the frame will remain as sturdy as it was when it was first assembled.
This great attention to detail is what goes into each and every Hancock and Moore piece. And although it remains hidden by beautiful leather or upholstery, the tedious attention to detail will be clear as this piece will withstand the test of time and will sit as comfortably as the first day you brought it into your home. A selection of fine leathers also accompany the many options from Hancock and Moore. These leathers are carefully selected from only the top 2% of available hydes. These hydes are free from many defects of lower grades. Every hyde is free from scratches, brands, scars and other marks. Hancock and Moore also provides the options of imprints, hand-antiquing and embossing of the leathers.
This is just the beginning of the detailed and patient process that the master craftsman at Hancock and Moore go through to ensure that each and every piece of furniture that carries their name is held to the highest standards.
