Weston, FL (PRWEB) April 03, 2014 -- gMed recently participated in the National ICD-10 End to End Testing week, hosted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) using their Practice Management System, gPM. gMed was able to complete testing successfully. This front end testing encompassed submitting claims with ICD-10 codes to Medicare and receiving acknowledgement to confirm if the claims were accepted or rejected. CMS accepted 100 percent of the test claims submitted through our clearinghouse. This particular test did not confirm claim payment or produce remittance advice.
“We recognize that the government will most likely push back the national launch of ICD-10, however it is important for our clients to realize that we have taken these requirements seriously,” stated Matt Schreiber, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our goal is to blend innovation and regulation such that the process in which physicians practice is minimally affected while meeting these requirements.”
In today’s ever-changing healthcare environment, it is critical to align with a vendor who will work to ensure you are prepared for the significant challenges ICD-10 will present, regardless of the national implementation timeframe. Successful participation in CMS Testing Week is just one example of gMed’s preparation for ICD-10 compliance. “Our customers should be confident gMed is ready now and will be ready when ICD-10 is required in the future,” says Krisanne Fieldhouse, gMed’s Practice Management Product Manager.
