Golf Academy Of America Announces Partnership With Veteran Golfers Association
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (PRWEB) August 28, 2017 -- The world’s largest and longest-running two-year golf college, Golf Academy of America, today announced its partnership with the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the game of golf to veterans and their family members. Both organizations will work together on a series of golfing events throughout the year and support each other’s missions.
As part of the ongoing partnership, Golf Academy of America will also serve as a sponsor for the VGA’s upcoming tournaments, including the “Battle at the Beach” tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (Sept. 10-13, 2017), and the highly anticipated VGA National Championship in Biloxi, Mississippi (Oct. 8-11, 2017).
“Golf Academy of America is honored to join the Veteran Golfers Association in its noble mission to introduce our country's veterans and their family members to the game of golf,” said Steve Newman, National Director of Operations at Golf Academy of America. “Many of our veteran students and graduates are also members of the VGA, which made this partnership a natural fit.”
The Veteran Golfers Association President and CEO Josh Peyton added: “As a veteran myself, I know how important it is for our servicemen and women to have a strong support network as they transition back to civilian life. Both the Veteran Golfers Association and Golf Academy of America are able to offer that support by introducing veterans to the camaraderie, sportsmanship and career opportunities that exist in golf, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
With 40 years of experience and five campuses spread across the country, Golf Academy of America provides a variety of degree and training programs in the game, business and technology of golf. Considered to be one of the most military-friendly schools in the nation, the school offers a number of educational benefits to both active duty and retired service members and their families, including a special five percent tuition allowance, career placement assistance and a dedicated Military Student Center staffed by veterans.
