Good360 Launches New Disaster Philanthropy Technology Platform
Alexandria, Virginia (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- Good360 today launched DisasterRecovery360, a new technology platform that enables the nonprofit organization to address immediate needs at the site of a disaster by distributing critical supplies quickly and efficiently. The tool, developed with support from The UPS Foundation and Walmart, was officially launched in New Orleans during events marking the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
“Our new DisasterRecovery360 platform will enable Good360 to use real-time data to identify and meet immediate needs quickly and efficiently,” said Good360 Interim President and CEO Shabab Gruberg. “Thanks to DisasterRecovery360’s mobile application we can now collect timely and specific needs from community-based nonprofits working at the site of a disaster and empower companies and individuals to help fulfill those needs. This allows us to deliver critically needed supplies to the right place at the right time immediately following disaster and throughout the full recovery process.”
DisasterRecovery360 will:
• Use real-time data to encourage companies and individuals to help meet immediate needs
• Enable connections that will help fulfill the long term recovery needs of communities
• Empower community-based nonprofits to provide immediate help to survivors by providing them with the critical goods they need at the time they need them
• Provide individuals who want to help with the ability to use their cash donations to fulfill specific needs
• Capture and share stories that showcase how donations are helping
• Enable Good360 to store, stage and deliver goods before, during and after a disaster strikes
