GPS2014 Panel Examines Performance through Local and State Data
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) April 17, 2014 -- The 14th annual Government Performance Summit (GPS2014) is proud to announce leadership from Mid-Atlantic StatNet will gather in May to discuss local government performance. The panel will examine state and local data issues allowing attendees to learn from industry experts and network with regional peers.
Montgomery County Stat Manager David Gottesman will join Sam Abed, Secretary, Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, and Matt Power, Director, Maryland StateStat, at GPS2014 in Washington D.C. on May 6.
“In today’s data rich environment, Mid-Atlantic StatNet is being formed by local jurisdictions from all over the region to truly take advantage of everyone’s best practice in performance improvement,” says Gregg Useem, Performance Improvement Officer, City of Alexandria, Virginia.
Following GPS2014, the group will hold its “Mid-Atlantic StatNet Conference” on May 8—first covering Big Data, and then examining how proven state and local benchmarks and performance management practices can improve building services, fire protection, library services, and many other local government business areas. The day-long event of this innovative member-based organization will feature a facilitated review and discussion of specific data, trends, and challenges with more than 30 local jurisdictions from Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. All interested jurisdictions are free to register. (http://www.performanceinstitute.org)
