Green Lawn Equipment Event to Showcase Cleaner-Burning Options for Landscapers
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 02, 2014 -- The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) has partnered with DFW Central Texas Clean Cities Coalition and UT Southwestern to bring you the Green Lawn Equipment Show on May 5, 2014 at UT Southwestern Landscaping Yard in Dallas, TX right on the heels of Air Quality Awareness Week. The event will showcase cleaner-burning commercial lawn mowers from propane to electric.
Grounds managers from schools, colleges, area medical centers, golf courses, and cities' parks departments as well as commercial landscapers from the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas are expected to attend this lunchtime event.
Propane autogas is the ideal fuel for lawn and landscape professionals because propane-powered mowers produce fewer greenhouse-gas emissions than traditional gasoline mowers allowing landscapers to operate cleaner propane mowers on Ozone Action/Air Quality Action Days without violating EPA regulations. Additionally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that more than 17 million gallons of fuel are spilled each year refueling lawn equipment. However, since propane mowers have a closed loop, spill-free refueling system, you do not have this issue.
“The Propane Council of Texas will be participating not only to educate landscapers and grounds managers on the benefits greener propane-powered commercial mowers, but also on state and national incentives available to those that switch to the cleaner technology," says Jackie Mason, Education & Marketing Director.
