GRELIS Demos Proof-of-Concept Real Estate Keyword Search Engine
Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) July 19, 2015 -- GRELIS founder Tom Rapko has developed a specialized search engine that focuses exclusively on keyword search terms found in real estate listings worldwide and offers people a better way to search for property. This was an ambitious undertaking given the multitude of real estate websites already in existence.
Traditionally, the real estate search process begins and ends on a local platform. It may or may not have a global presence. Listings are typically “stove-piped” back to the originating website, and, usually, are never seen outside their target market. GRELIS changes that paradigm using niche search technology.
GRELIS scours the internet for real estate listings, aggregates their keywords into a massive open database, and then links back to the actual listing provider in the context of a search result. Although search engines have been around for years, they have largely ignored the value of niche search. That’s where GRELIS works its magic: Now real estate listings can truly gain exposure to a global audience, an engagement that starts the property search with virtually any keyword.
“The GRELIS database is continually growing and, as chaos theory suggests, limitless. This of course makes GRELIS very addictive,” warns founder Tom Rapko. “You can spend a lot of time entering keywords like ‘monkey’ or ‘scuba diving’ and get many cool results. There are plenty of listings featuring private airstrips, equestrian-focused properties, as well as classic beach houses, which is the most popular search.”
And the baby block logo?
“I was working on a logo with the words ‘Real Estate’ and ‘Global’ and ‘Search’ and maybe ‘Property’ or ‘Listing’ and I started arranging my son’s alphabet building blocks together in different combinations. It is almost impossible to find a six-letter domain now and when I saw GRELIS fall into place, I thought ‘That’s it!’ From then on, I just kept the GRELIS baby block logo,” Rapko explained.
With over 10,000,000 search results indexed in the first month alone, GRELIS sees exponential growth ahead as the proof-of-concept platform is rolled out to the public for real world testing. Going forward Rapko hopes to ramp up hiring and improve the user experience via the quality of the search results in terms of their relevance and speed of delivery.
