GroundLink® Appoints Liz Carisone As CEO
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 11, 2015 -- GroundLink®, a global provider of tech-enabled black car service, announced the appointment of Liz Carisone as Chief Executive Officer. Carisone most recently served as Chief Financial Officer/Senior Vice President of operations and has been with GroundLink since 2012. She replaces Dean Sivley, who will be assisting his friend and mentor John Noel in transitioning the leadership of Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection. Mr. Sivley will retain equity participation in GroundLink.

Carisone has held multiple roles within the GroundLink executive team in recent years and played a critical role in setting and executing strategy. She has driven improvements in GroundLink’s unique customer offering, consisting of mobile, web and call center service. She has also scaled the company’s infrastructure, which allows GroundLink to provide a seamless booking, ride and billing experience for customers. Recent product enhancements include a Corporate Account Center for travel managers to seamlessly manage multiple travelers and track ground transportation spend in real-time, custom analytics reporting and an award-winning mobile booking experience. She has also overseen the execution of GroundLink’s industry-leading safety standards, which meet the duty of care needs of corporate clients and discerning travelers. In her new role, Carisone will oversee the global operations and strategic direction of GroundLink and continue to drive the company’s mission to be the leading tech-enabled black car service for corporate travelers.
GroundLink will continue to be led by the existing executive team, composed of travel industry veterans. Michael Mooradian, Chief Sales Officer, recently led a significant expansion of GroundLink’s national corporate sales team and continues to lead this group. GroundLink’s emphasis on product and technological innovation will continue to be led by Ivan Aksentijevic, Chief Technology Officer, and Alberto Romero, Senior Vice President, Product and System Architecture. Leading GroundLink’s retail business and data analytics is Senthil Venkataraman, Vice President, Retail and Business Analytics. In conjunction with the announcement, Dorothy Plewa has been promoted to Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller.
Prior to joining GroundLink, Liz was the Chief Financial Officer of Kroll Consulting Services, a global provider of risk management services. Earlier she served as Chief Financial Officer of London-based Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA), a subsidiary of Travelport, a leading travel commerce and technology services company. She also has held senior financial leadership roles with Fisher Scientific, Warner Lambert and Allied Signal.
