Haldor Advanced Technologies and Northfield Medical sign a Partnership Agreement
Cherry Hill, New Jersey (PRWEB) December 02, 2014 -- Haldor Advanced Technologies, the leading provider of RFID-enabled surgical item visibility solutions for hospitals and sterilization centers, and Northfield Medical LLC, a leading US medical equipment repair and service company, signed a Partnership Agreement. As part of the collaboration, Northfield Medical with its over 20 years’ experience of providing diagnostic and surgical instrument repair and maintenance services to hospitals has been certified as a technical partner and will be able to provide professional services to hospitals using the ORLocate® system.
“We are proud to partner with such a distinguished and profesional organisation as Northfield. We’ll extend our offering in the US via Northfield and are confident that their experience in serving hospitals nationwide will help us to further expand our reach. This partnership greatly benefits both companies, but foremost every ORLocate user in the US,” said Ilan Kadosh-Tamari, CEO of Haldor Advanced Technologies.
“We see the partnership with Haldor as an important step which increases the services portfolio we can offer to hospitals. This particular service will help to satisfy the requirements of the FDA UDI regulation. There is a lot of interest regarding the ORLocate technology in general and Haldor’s RFID H-Tag for surgical instruments” said Monty Wenk, CEO of Northfield Medical.
Haldor’s ORLocate® solution is the first commercially available intuitive, interoperable system to leverage RFID technology to track, manage, and analyze surgical items on an individual basis throughout Sterile Processing Departments and Operating Rooms.
ORLocate® enables hospitals to significantly reduce costs associated with surgical instrument shrinkage as well as provide usage data on each instrument to ensure accurate set size and overall inventory, to optimize workflow by actively guiding and monitoring the technician’s processes to ensure compliance, and to enhance the quality of patient care by managing infection control with accurate instrument level data. For more information see a short video.
This agreement will enable Haldor to accelerate the ORLocate® System deployment process and provide our clients with comprehensive services. Both companies believe that utilization of RFID technologies in the healthcare space improves efficiency, elevates productivity, and improves patient care.
