HAP Announces 2016 Achievement Award Winners
Harrisburg, Pa. (August 18) (PRWEB) August 18, 2016 -- Pennsylvania hospitals continuously work to adopt and implement forward-thinking initiatives in order to provide high-quality, more affordable health care to patients.
The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) recognizes these innovative efforts through its respected Achievement Awards program, which began in 1978.
Annual winners are chosen for Community Champions, Optimal Operations, In Safe Hands, and Excellence in Care awards. The Living the Vision Award is earned by one hospital that demonstrates accomplishments in all dimensions of the Triple Aim—improving population health and the patient experience, while reducing health care costs.
“This year, we had 121 HAP Achievement Awards program submissions, which proves that hospitals and health systems across the commonwealth continue to prioritize health care innovation and process improvement in their organizations,” said HAP President and CEO Andy Carter. “I feel honored to lead an association that represents a membership that is committed to the communities it serves and implements meaningful change. Congratulations to the winners and all who submitted entries.”
