Housing Industry Expert Highlights Shift in US Homebuyers Demands
(PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- A veteran housing industry expert working for the United Relief Centre, a reputable financial advocacy centre, recently shared his expert opinion regarding the current direction of buyers’ demand in the industry. Highlighting the importance of this information, the expert said that proper analysis and understanding of recent reports and numbers can play a vital role in improving the situation of the housing market.
Revealing the most significant findings of his analysis, the URC expert states that most of the consumers are now looking for new constructions in the US. “People are not much interested in old constructions anymore. The foreclosure rates are low and there is little difference between the price of a used home and a new one. Naturally, the attention is now diverted towards fresh constructions. Unfortunately, many realtors are not able to help buyers find what they desire because they fail to understand their demands,” the expert explains.
According to the United States Department of Commerce, the new construction building permits in March were up 11.2 percent as compared to last year. While the overall housing starts were down 5.9 percent from March 2013, there was a 2.8 percent increase from last month. Speaking of the increasing interest in new construction, the expert also added the fact that the change was not sudden. The sales of new homes in the US started to escalate in 2013 and hit a five-year high during January.
According to the spokesperson, the current spring market makes it more important to focus on the rise in demand for new homes. “Spring is already here but looks like we are up for a slow start this year. While many might take it as a negative indicator, there is still a lot that can be done in order to send the market into late but higher flight,” he advises real estate agents who are struggling in the unexpectedly sluggish spring market.
The United Relief Centre expert concluded his analysis with a prediction that the market will see growth during the second quarter of 2014. For more information of the real estate market and how URC is helping buyers and realtors, please visit the website http://www.unitedreliefcentre.com.
