IETF Offers Scholarships to Students with Essential Tremor
LENEXA, Kan. (PRWEB) March 16, 2018 -- IETF Offers Scholarships to Students with Essential Tremor
Current or college-bound students who have been diagnosed with essential tremor (ET) are encouraged to apply for a college scholarship from the International Essential Tremor Foundation (IETF)
Each semester, the IETF awards four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors or current college students to support their higher education goals. Essential tremor is a neurological condition that causes shaking of the hands, head and voice. It impacts people of all ages, including toddlers and teens. The IEFT launched a scholarship program in 2011 to provide hope and support for students with ET, and to lessen their financial burden.
To date, more than $25,000 in scholarship money has been awarded by the IETF.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic success, community service, leadership skills and an essay submission. Applications and more details are available on the IETF website, https://www.essentialtremor.org/about-the-ietf/scholarships/.
The current application period is for the fall 2018 semester. Applications are due May 1, 2018, and winning students will be notified by July 15.
