iHerb Delivers Big Savings to Customers Who Love Sharing
Moreno Valley, California (PRWEB) October 13, 2014 -- Unlike the more commonly seen discounts and coupons used by other retailers, iHerb’s Rewards Program provides referral benefits for sharing their own Rewards Code.
As a result of the referral, first-time customers earn an immediate discount by entering a Rewards Code from a referring iHerb customer. After completing their order, first-time customers receive their own Rewards Code to share. The referring customer accumulates Rewards credits that can be used to save on future purchases.
“iHerb Rewards is not your traditional referral program,” said John McCarthy, iHerb’s Director of Marketing. “We want customers to introduce others about natural products they love. In fact, iHerb has built tools to help customers share their Rewards Codes via links in email, blogs and social media. You can even share your shopping cart"
Customers can accumulate enormous savings by referring other individuals with their Rewards Code. Each time a referred customer purchases from iHerb, the referring customer receives a credit towards future purchases. iHerb automatically applies Rewards Credits to a returning customer’s order, subtracting it from the subtotal. While credits expire after 6-months of non-use, there’s no limit on the amount of Rewards that can be accumulated.
“iHerb customers have embraced sharing and this has resulted in big savings. During the month of August, over $180,000 was applied towards free orders from sharing Rewards Codes,” McCarthy said. “And that’s just one month. iHerb Rewards is pacing to provide nearly $2 million in free orders in 2014.”
The Rewards Program is entirely optional. Customers may choose to make a purchase without participating, but the program seems to fit iHerb’s customer profile. iHerb carries one of the largest selections of high-quality nutritional products in the world, so many customers share their Rewards Code to replenish their personal supplies.
Although iHerb is an online retailer, the company operates two inventory control and shipping centers – Moreno Valley, California and Hebron, Kentucky – that fill and ship customer orders both domestically and worldwide. iHerb’s product listing includes more than 35,000 products.
iHerb is certified as a Google Trusted Store and its desktop-website, mobile website and mobile applications are translated in six different languages.
The iHerb company began in 1996 as a promoter of the health benefits of St. Johns Wort. Today the product line is supplemented by other product categories such as bath & beauty, specialty grocery items, superfoods, kids & babies, pets, creams and lotions, aromatherapy and fitness products.
