A Boating Safety Education Certificate is required in the state of Pennsylvania for anyone that operates a personal watercraft, as well as anyone born on or after January 1, 1982, that intends to operate boats powered by motors greater than 25 horsepower. Currently, the state offers in-person courses and online courses via boat-ed.com and boaterexam.com.
