Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- Chicago-area condemnation attorneys, William E. Ryan, Michael W. Ryan and Lauren E. Ryan will speak at the 32nd Annual Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation course February 5, 2015 in San Francisco, California. This national seminar presented by the American Law Institute gathers attorneys, appraisers and related professionals from across the country to discuss new developments and trends in the law of eminent domain.
“It is a privilege to be asked to speak on the topic of managing a condemnation case and how effective team work benefits the client, experts and lawyers involved,” said William E. Ryan, a partner with Chicago-area eminent domain law firm Ryan and Ryan.
“At Ryan and Ryan, we approach every case as a team and I believe that has greatly contributed to the successful results we have achieved for our landowner clients,” he explained. William E. Ryan is the Illinois member of the Owners’ Counsel of America, a nationwide network of experienced condemnation lawyers dedicated to defending property owners against government takings using the power of eminent domain.
Mr. Ryan will join his son, Michael, and daughter, Lauren, who are attorneys with the firm, on a panel entitled “Running the Case: A Team Approach and Working with All the Players.” Their presentation will focus on how to manage a condemnation case as a team and will include practice tips eminent domain attorneys and related professionals can implement to effectively utilize all members of the litigation team, including the roles key expert witnesses and clients play in the case.
Ryan and Ryan concentrates its practice on representing private property owners against the government in eminent domain proceedings throughout metropolitan Chicago and Illinois. The firm currently represents landowners in multiple road projects around the Chicago-area, including the new Elgin O’Hare Expressway, as well as owners whose property is being acquired by the State of Illinois for the proposed South Suburban Airport.
