Insight Recruitment Launches Contract Staffing Services
Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) October 17, 2013 -- Now that she is back to recruiting full time, Kinga Wilson is expanding the services of her new firm, Insight Recruitment, to include contract and contract-to-direct.
Wilson has been recruiting for 15 years, specializing in the placement of information technology (IT) professionals. After running her own firm for 13 years, Wilson took a 10-month break to pursue other endeavors. Last year, she returned to recruiting on a limited basis as she opened Insight Recruitment and took on a select group of clients. Now that she is back to recruiting full-time, adding the contract and contract-to-direct to Insight Recruitment’s service offerings is the next logical step.
“It’s more of a package with contract staffing,” Wilson said. “We don’t offer just one solution; it’s not just a permanent hire solution. I always try to convince clients to try-before-they-buy with contract-to-direct arrangements. If we could all try before we buy with everything, wouldn’t life be easier?”
Contract staffing is particularly important for a firm serving the IT industry as Insight Recruitment does. The firm handles a broad range of IT placements, including a number of executive and management positions. Contractors help companies quickly address projects and sudden surges in business. They can bring in the staff they need to address those issues and then easily reduce their workforce when the need passes.
“IT always has a certain amount of unpredictability because it’s based on business,” Wilson said. “Companies make the best staffing decisions they can based on past patterns, but you can never predict what will happen with business.”
Wilson is also noticing a change in the attitudes of workers toward contract staffing.
“They get to try before they buy, too,” she said. “They get more of a sneak peak into a job than they can get in an interview. It’s more acceptable to candidates than it has been in the past.”
Carrying on the practice established at Wilson’s previous firm, Insight Recruitment places its contractors through the contract staffing back-office services of Top Echelon Contracting (TEC). TEC becomes the legal employer of the firm’s contractors, handling all of the administrative, financial, and legal details of the contract placements. Wilson, who has worked with TEC for the past eight years, said outsourcing the back-office portion allows her to keep her overhead, and therefore her rates, low. It also allows her to maintain the “big boy” liability insurance coverage usually only found with larger staffing firms.
“TEC gives me the peace of mind and perception to my client that even though I am a small, boutique agency, I have the power of a full back-office provider,” Wilson said. “I just want to focus on my clients and candidates. I’m not interested in growing my staff and handling payroll and the other tasks.”
That focus allows her to provide a unique recruiting experience to her clients. Insight Recruitment concentrates on the Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., areas.
“I believe I am competitively priced, but what clients tell me the most is that they continue to use me because I can find more qualified local candidates,” Wilson said. “I don’t waste their time.”
