Instructor Dave Logan Brings Vintage Jeep and Years of Off-Road Experience to the 2014 Aiken Music Fest + Jeep Invasion
Aiken, SC (PRWEB) July 06, 2014 -- Those who don't already know the name "Dave Logan" from within the Jeeping community, definitely should. He's a Jeep man of many talents, with many of those revolving around years of off-road experience and 4WD training, vintage Jeep restoration, and a passion for spreading the excitement and knowledge that comes with the territory of being a Jeep owner.
This July, Dave brings his passion and experience to Aiken, SC's own Aiken Music Fest and Jeep Invasion on Saturday, July 12th, which also features a Willys Classic Jeep Show. The show is sponsored by Jeep Hunters Productions and Omix-ADA, and top prizes include gift certificates to vintage parts supplier, Kaiser Willys. At this year's festival, Dave will also have something special up his sleeve: a restored vintage Jeep from the Omix-ADA Jeep collection, which he personally oversees.
Dave's love affair with Jeeps began in the fall of 1993 with a simple drive through southern Colorado, and has grown over the years into heavy involvement with many 4-Wheel Drive clubs and associations. In 2007, Dave's experience with Jeeps and off-roading evolved into the founding of his own company, "4 Wheel Drive School," for which he has trained military and civilians alike in everything from the oil fields of Kuwait to the 29 Palms Marine base.
However, experience is not an absolute requirement for this hobby. In fact, many of these vehicles were built in the 1940's and 50's, meaning they were very simple machines. People who could fix a tractor could fix a Jeep! Vintage Jeep restoration makes for a wonderful father/son, father/daughter project, and that's usually how the association goes—anyone who owns one knows there's something special about them—and the Jeep "wave" is just another example of how Jeeps do much more than take you from point A to B, they're "vehicles" for connection, family, adventure, and fun.
Fun is something that's definitely going to happen at the Aiken Music Fest and Jeep Invasion on Saturday, July 12th, 2014. This festival offers a little bit of something for everyone, including a full musical lineup, Classic Willys Jeep Show, Jeep Invasion, some of the best BBQ in the state of South Carolina, and a giant sprinkler and water slide for the kids.
