Intelex Scores Big in Great Place to Work® Competition
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) April 22, 2016 -- Intelex Technologies, a leading global provider of cloud-based Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality management software, has been recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada. This is the fifth such win for Intelex is as many years. The company credits its continued success to a high performance work culture sustained by engaged and inspired employees.
“We’ve grown incredibly fast in the last five years,” explains Mark Jaine, Intelex President and CEO. Since 2011, we’ve experienced a 140% increase in the number of employees. By the end of this year, there will be well over 400 Intelexians. The only way to ride a wave like this is to hold true to your core values. We want to make sure everyone continues to feel like they are part of an extraordinary team that is making a real impact in the world. Winning the ‘Best Workplaces in Canada’ award holds special meaning because it reflects what our employees think and feel about the company they’ve chosen to be a part of.”
The facts bear this out. The company’s own surveys show that four out of five Intelex employees look forward going to work every day mostly because they love what they do. Getting a Top 20 ranking in the Great Place to Work® competition backs up these results and demonstrates the business is continuing to do something right.
The competition assesses two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. This year’s list received over 300 nominations and over 60,000 employees participated in the 2016 “Best Workplaces in Canada” survey.
“A safe work environment, being valued and rewarded and the ability to perform their job well and efficiently are required for employees to feel satisfied in their job,” says Jose Tolovi Neto, Managing Partner of Great Place to Work® Canada. “Building a culture of trust that encourages employees to have autonomy to do their jobs and the opportunity to learn and grow every day, as Intelex has done consistently now for five years in a row, sets it apart as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada.”
