International Company Relocates to Greater Reading
Reading, PA (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- Greater Reading Economic Partnership (GREP) is pleased to announce the relocation of International company Seibu Giken’s North American Operations, SG America, Inc., to the Greater Reading region. SG America manufactures air-to-air heat recovery and desiccant dehumidification components used in commercial and industrial air handling systems.
“Relocating to the Greater Reading region from Owatonna, Minnesota was a strategic decision for SG America. The Mid-Atlantic location provides access to a larger labor pool, and allows us to take advantage of Greater Reading's lower cost of doing business." – Ray Suhocki, General Manager, North American Operations, SG America.
The company is in the process of moving into 25,000 square-feet at 220 North Park Road in Wyomissing. SG America will initially create about 15 – 20 skilled jobs in production, logistics, assembly and engineering.
Seibu Giken Co. Ltd., the Japan-based parent company, has manufactured heat wheels for over 35 years. The company’s “HI-PANEX-ION” wheels are manufactured using ion exchange resin-coated aluminum sheets and used in commercial air-to-air heat recovery applications to enhance indoor air quality. Seibu Giken's wheels have been used in hundreds of laboratories, hospitals, hotels, restaurants and office buildings throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
