Invisalign Braces Offer an Easier Straightening Solution
Coral Springs, FL (PRWEB) September 26, 2014 -- Invisalign braces are now available at the Friedman Dental Group. This type of braces differs from traditional braces in a number of ways, but the end result is the same: straight teeth that patients can be proud to show off. Invisalign has been offered by dental professionals since 1999, and today, the process of creating the Invisalign aligners has become quite affordable. Doctors, Eli and Katia Friedman offer Invisalign too many of patients, especially younger patients who are in need of braces.
Dr. Friedman has found that many younger patients, especially teens, find traditional braces ugly and painful. These patients often express their disappointment at getting braces and believe they will be made fun of. That’s why the two dental experts offer Invisalign to these patients. Because it’s very difficult to see and does not interfere with eating, Invisalign does not come with the stigma that often accompanies traditional braces.
Instead of using metal bars to push the teeth back into place, Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners. These aligners are clear and can be removed when eating, drinking, and brushing the teeth. The aligners are also completely clear, making them almost impossible to see. Each patient will be given a set of aligners that were created using 3D imaging technology and the dentist’s expertise. A patient wears the aligners in sequence. Each set (one for the top teeth and one for the lower teeth) is worn for about two weeks, although some sets may need to be worn for longer periods of time.
Patients will check in with the Friedman Dental Group about every six weeks throughout the process to make certain the aligners are working as intended. After the teeth have shifted slightly using one aligner, the patient will move to the next aligner in the series. Eventually, the teeth will be perfectly straight and the aligners will no longer be needed. Usually, most patients take between 9 and 15 months for their teeth to become perfectly straight, and most use 18 to 30 different sets of aligners. However, because every patient is different, the number of aligners and the amount of time it takes to perfectly straighten the teeth will vary.
Patients interested in the Invisalign process are encouraged to visit the Friedman Dental Group and speak to a dental professional. The Invisalign system is available for most patients regardless of age or dental history.
