Jamie Bernadette— NCIS: New Orleans’ New Darling
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 13, 2017 -- In tonight’s episode of “NCIS: New Orleans” on CBS, titled "The Asset", the character Dwayne Pride, played by Scott Bakula, introduces a new character named “Callie Tillford”, played by actress Jamie Bernadette (The 6th Friend). Pride describes Callie as a Russian sleeper agent sent to take out one of her own and says that she is posing as a student from the University of Tennessee. Callie does not admit to his accusations during his interrogation nor does she give any verbal clues as to the validity of his statements except when she hints at personally knowing Eva Azarova, played by Cassidy Freeman (Longmire). She tells Pride that there is no such thing as a former agent, refuting his statement about Eva, and hints that the GRU (Russian Military Intelligence Service) is using Eva’s own brother as leverage, which we find out later in the episode to be true.
Callie’s precise and deadly fighting skills as shown in the episode also suggest that what Pride says is true. If she were just a grad student, why would she attack Pride’s agents without warning? Her attitude towards Pride’s questioning vacillates between mockery, disgust, amusement, and at one point, pure evil. It appears that this isn’t the first time she has been through this and she shows no fear when Pride threatens her with life in prison, even stating, “There are worse things”. It is hoped that CBS will bring Callie back to answer all of the questions posed during tonight’s episode and expand on this intriguing character.
This appears to be Jamie Bernadette’s first prime time network TV credit though she has starred in numerous independent films. Her leading role in the horror film “The 6th Friend”, which she also produced and co-wrote, has garnered her many Best Actress awards on the film festival circuit and the film has also won many Best Feature Film awards. The film looks to be released in 2018. She is also the lead in the much-anticipated sequel to one of the most notorious films ever made, the original 1978 film “I Spit on Your Grave”. The sequel is titled “I Spit on Your Grave: Déjà Vu” and boasts the return of the original director Meir Zarchi and actress Camille Keaton. Fans anticipate a 2018 release date. Of her other 70 completed works, are horror/adventure film “All Girls Weekend”, drama “State of Desolation”, and thriller “American Satan” starring Malcolm McDowell, which will be released in theaters October 13th.
