Jay McLaughlin shares missionary experience in new book
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (PRWEB) January 23, 2015 -- Author Jay McLaughlin presents readers who feel called to the mission field with a compilation of information based on his 15 years of experience to help them learn what they need to know in the new book “Taking the Mystery out of Missions: How to Know if You Are Called” (published by WestBow Press).
“My book will appeal to readers because it is highly exciting, informational, factual and reads like a Christian Indiana Jones-type of story,” McLaughlin says; “You will find it hard to put it down.”
In the first part of the book, McLaughlin discusses the exciting part of his life as a missionary, revealing the many miracles, dangers, escapes, diseases, sadness, successes and failures he experienced. The second part of the book is loaded with helpful, practical and clear-cut information to help other missionaries achieve more success. It features information about paperwork, medical records, licensing and much more.
An excerpt from “Taking the Mystery out of Missions”:
“The guard sitting right behind me placed his gun against my head and said, that if I did not go on up, he would shoot me right then. I grabbed the barrel of his gun, and shoved it down into the seat, telling him to get out.”
