Kaleidoscope Announces New General Manager as Company Plans for Strategic Growth
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) July 27, 2016 -- Kaleidoscope, an innovation and product design firm with global headquarters in Cincinnati, recently promoted Katie McDonnell to the newly created role of General Manager where she will lead cross-functional design teams in delivering business-directed solutions to clients. McDonnell brings a diversity of skills and industry experience to her new role, including a strong background in sales, portfolio management, marketing, quality assurance and regulatory affairs, mergers and acquisitions, and project management.
“As Kaleidoscope continues to grow and diversify, it was clear we needed to expand our leadership team to help manage this growth. Katie brings a powerful multifaceted background that leaves her well-equipped to increase internal efficiencies and address the innovation demands of our business partners with purpose driven solutions,” said Matt Kornau, CEO of Kaleidoscope. “We fully anticipate her addition to the executive team will enable Kaleidoscope to further expand its footprint well beyond our current team of 90+ people.”
McDonnell joined Kaleidoscope two years ago as client partner. Within this role, McDonnell strengthened numerous long-term relationships with clients in multiple industries and forged new accounts, which resulted in robust top growth for the company. “Katie’s collaborative leadership approach has earned the respect and the support of our entire organization, as well as that of our business partners,” said Giuseppe Delena, Kaleidoscope’s Chief Operating Officer. “She exhibits a unique results-oriented business intuition coupled with a rare combination of vision, pragmatism and human empathy. She’s driven by an honest desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Katie embodies the human-centered values around which Kaleidoscope’s Purpose Driven Innovation culture and business thrive.”
McDonnell has a biomedical engineering background and started her career 17 years ago as a software engineer for Pioneer Electronics. She later joined Hill-Rom, where she held a variety of management roles, including global director of the company’s largest portfolio. “Katie is passionate about revolutionizing healthcare, which is evidenced in her strong relationships internally and with business partners in Kaleidoscope’s consumer products, healthcare and medical, industrial and automotive markets,” added Bill Taylor, Kaleidoscope President.
As Kaleidoscope anticipates upcoming growth in all aspects of business, from consultancy to clinical research to innovative design solutions, McDonnell will undoubtedly play a key role. “Katie’s strategic appointment as GM ensures Kaleidoscope remains favorably positioned for future growth with enhanced operational effectiveness and a continued company culture that attracts and retains incredible talent and delivers purpose driven work,” added Kornau.
