Komprehensiv Discusses Monsoons and Solar Panels
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Recently, Arizona Governor Ducey declared June 14th through 19th, “Monsoon Awareness Week.” But, all Arizona residents should consider every week monsoon awareness week. Given the capricious nature of the infamous monsoon storm, Arizonans should remain vehemently vigilant.
The highly respectable Arizona Department of Emergency Management designates the monsoon season as the months between June and mid-September. Yes, valley residents should prepare themselves to weather the storm during these months. And for those individuals with solar panels installed upon their rooftops, Mr. Sunshine, partner at Komprehensiv, and celebrated TV personality, stated the following:
“Everyone should of course be ready for a monsoon to strike at any time. Those on the road are in the greatest danger. Pull over if the storm becomes too much to handle. Indeed, in a storm everything is at risk except for your photovoltaic system. Our solar panels are created to bear the harshest of storms. Monsoons tend to be accompanied by dust. Your solar panels may accumulate some of that dust and run less efficient. But this can be solved simply by hosing down your solar panels or wiping them with a rag,” Janzen said.
Monsoons can be characterized as a sudden storm that hits the desert during the summer months. It is not atypical that a bright clear day in the Arizona summer, could turn into a dismal, humid, monsoon storm, accompanied by a dangerous combination of rain and wind. The high temperatures and the sudden explosion of the storm make the sea-born assailant (the monsoon) particularly dangerous.
Everyone amidst the brutal summer of Arizona should be on guard for danger around every corner. Dehydration, heat exhaustion, and the threat of a raging monsoon are ever present. Drinking plenty of water, keeping a level head, and avoiding the sun are the best defense. The only thing you can truly count on in the Arizona summer is your solar panel system, which is no doubt sucking up the sun, and transforming it into clean, reliable, safe, renewable energy.
