Learn How to Detect and Identify IEDs Using Digital X-ray
(PRWEB) May 11, 2016 -- Vidisco launches a new Training Kit to help bomb technician units practice X-raying operations and image enhancement to detect and identify IEDs.
The Training Kit is a collection of professional IED/EOD dummy items for training purposes. The items contain real bomb mechanisms so the operator can practice X-raying the objects and see realistic X-ray results. The kit is geared for training new members of a unit or for a periodic refresher course.
This special selection of IED props provides the opportunity to get unique training tools for the best operating and identification methods. Its main goal is to familiarize the user with the abilities and work processes of Vidisoc's portable X-ray systems, but may be used for further training goals as well.
The Training Kit consists of a mock pipe bomb, coffee bean can (chemically activated) IED, leech (mercury) tilt IED, booby trapped greeting card and explosives demolition blocks. All these dummy items are packaged in an easy to carry, rugged case with a manual including tips on how to X-ray the objects and enhance the images. In addition, a gallery of images is included with the objects’ external images, raw x-ray images and enhanced images.
The Training Kit was created as a result of customer feedback who requested training tools for their bomb tech units. At Vidisco, we strive to meet all the needs of our customers and for this reason we are the market leaders in user-oriented X-ray products and accessories.
