Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail Introduces the Leelanau Loop Adventure
Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan (PRWEB) February 28, 2014 -- Just in time for Michigan Wine Month in April, the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail is rolling out a new program entitled the “Leelanau Loop Adventure.” The new tour gives wine enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the renowned wine region at a more leisurely pace during the months from September to June.
“The loop adventure encourages participants to slow down and take time to really explore wines grown on the Leelanau Peninsula,” shares Lorri Hathaway, Director of the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail.
The Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail has 25 wineries located on the small peninsula. To make touring easy for this massive trail, three mini-trails, called loops, were created: the Sleeping Bear Loop, the Northern Loop and the Grand Traverse Bay Loop. The Leelanau Loop Adventure allows participants to tour one loop each day.
The three-day tour is self-guided and is available through lodging partners that are offering a special “reserve two nights and get the third night free” package. Lodging partners include Leelanau Vacation Rentals, the Homestead and many more.
"We are very excited to be part of the Leelanau Loop Adventure," shares Ranae Ihme, owner of Leelanau Vacation Rentals. "It gives vacationers more time to experience all the great things we have on our peninsula."
After completing the tour and visiting all 25 wineries, participants are awarded with a gift bag and an extensive knowledge of Leelanau wines.
