(PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Lexington Law, the nation’s leading provider of consumer credit report repair services, is taking to Twitter for its upcoming TweetChat titled, “Why Have Medical Bills Ruined My Life?” During the live event, Lexington Law will address the topic of medical bill debt, the consumers’ top choice for discussion. Out of 2,702 survey participants, an overwhelming 1,492 chose the topic of medical bills. The TweetChat will take place on July 26th at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST at https://twitter.com/#LexChat.
Lexington Law is dedicated to providing education and advocacy to consumers with debt. The bi-monthly TweetChat furthers this commitment by providing unprecedented advice from industry insiders. Leading the TweetChat will be Dr. Randy Padawer, a psychologist and consumer advocate. Padawer has been published in the Journal of Personality Assessment, the Journal of Consulting and featured in Smart Money Magazine. He co-wrote the best-selling "FICO 850" seminar for The Motley Fool and founded the company that would become AOL Classifieds in 1993. Padawer works with Lexington Law concerning consumer behavior, credit scoring, and intervention efficacy.
“The topic of medical bills and medical debt was the overwhelming choice of consumers. There is clearly a great need for sound advice on this subject,” says Padawer. “We are proud to provide a forum for discussion on this topic that affects so many people.”
According to NerdWallet, one in five American adults will struggle to pay medical bills this year. The site estimates 56 million Americans under 65 will struggle with medical bills in 2013. Medical debt is one of the main reasons for bankruptcy filings in the United States. High medical bills with large out-of-pocket expenses and high deductibles leave many without the means to pay.
