Local Credit Union, Arizona Federal, Puts New Spin on Traditional Happy Hour
Glendale, AZ (PRWEB) July 21, 2016 -- Phoenix-based credit union, Arizona Federal, hosted its third Taste the Good Life happy hour at its newly remodeled Glendale branch on July 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this happy hour event, the cooperative offered the public a chance to learn more about their credit, while enjoying live music and gourmet appetizers.
More than 100 people attended, and 48 guests engaged in a credit consultation with a financial coach to discuss their credit report and identify opportunities to improve their financial lives.
“A credit report can have a profound impact on what you pay for services, such as loans or insurance, and whether or not you are offered a job,” said Rachel Galvez, business development manager for Arizona Federal Credit Union. “Yet many of us don’t know anything about them: where to look at your report, what the score means and how it’s calculated.”
“Our goal is to help our members understand everything that’s impacting their finances, and this happy hour is one way we bring that financial education to them in a low-key environment,” said Galvez. “We’re planning our next event for October, and we’ll be sharing more details on how the public can participate as we get closer to the date.”
This free event was held at the Arizona Federal Glendale branch, located at 5485 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301. Catering was provided by Dona Kay Catering and Rentals, and music provided by local singer-songwriter Janelle Loes.
