Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- As part of its Latinos Living Healthy Initiative, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will host the annual health festival in Los Angeles, California. LULAC’s Feria de Salud will feature free health screenings for HIV/AIDS, Osteoporosis, and high blood pressure. Other free testing includes glucose and cholesterol levels, and dental check ups for children. The event will also feature healthy foods, physical exercise and wellness education.
The health fair will also include top line Latino musical entertainment from Grupo Norteño, Trio Ellas and Vilma Diaz y la Sonora. In addition, special appearances will be made by actress Jaina Lee Ortiz from Fox’s upcoming drama Rosewood and actress-singer-comedian Angelica Vale from Telemundo’s upcoming variety show La sorpresa de tu vida.
For those who want to stay active, the health fair will include Soccer Drills and Zumba.
Finally, local celebrity chefs will be providing free cooking demonstrations. LULAC has taken the traditional Latino festival and turned it into a day of family fun focused on healthy eating and living.
