Lumināt Announces Paul Olson as New CEO

To ensure alignment between the technology and overall company vision, Paul will continue to serve as Lumināt’s CTO. Tom Valdivia, MD, MS, co-founder and former CEO of Lumināt, remains an active and vital part of the Lumināt team and has accepted the role of Executive Chairman.
Through Paul’s leadership, Lumināt is dedicated to enabling and accelerating health systems' clinical programs through patient-generated health technologies. By leveraging the Lumināt technology, health systems better understand and integrate the patient’s voice into everyday clinical workflows to provide more effective, efficient and patient-centered care. The Lumināt technology further accelerates clinical innovation and improvement when partnered with research-based clinical applications developed by the company and its clinical leadership.
Paul brings over seventeen years of experience in technology with an emphasis on health care providers, payers, and medical devices for much of the past thirteen years. Prior to joining Lumināt, Paul consulted with payers and providers on the implementation and operational management of commercial Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in Minnesota. Prior experience includes a statewide Health Information Exchange readiness assessment, ICD-10 transition planning for payers and providers, and development of population health management capabilities for providers transitioning to ACOs. Paul holds a Master of Science in Management of Technology (MSMOT) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
