Mathseeds Online Math Program Adds 15 New Lessons
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 23, 2013 -- Mathseeds, the online math program that teaches kids aged 3 to 6 the core math skills needed for success at school, now has 70 lessons that travel through 14 highly engaging maps.
The 15 new Mathseeds lessons build upon the mathematical concepts introduced in the first 55 lessons of the program. Lessons 56 to 60 teach children to subtract numbers from 10 using the cover up method and a number line, describe position and movement, understand the concept of area, and learn to count from 20 to 30.
Lessons 61 to 65 teach children about fractions, how to sort, describe and name 3D objects, how to count and add numbers to 20, and how to count and order money.
Lessons 66 to 70 further develop skills with fractions and subtraction, and also teach children to count to 40 and read analog and digital clocks.
Created by the same team of experienced elementary educators behind the popular Reading Eggs online reading program, Mathseeds teaches early mathematical skills with highly structured online lessons that make learning fun.
Each Mathseeds lesson contains 9 math games that children complete at their own pace, with vibrant animations, playful songs and multiple rewards to keep children motivated to learn. All Mathseeds lessons can be repeated as often as necessary so children can revise skills. At the end of each map (5 lessons), children complete a multiple-choice quiz. If they pass, they are awarded with a certificate that can be printed out as a reminder of their success. Parents are provided with a dashboard to show their child’s progress.
Mathseeds is compatible with PC, Mac, iPad and Android.
