May 21 Webinar Will Reveal Way to Automate SharePoint Site Creation Process
Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 -- Manually creating SharePoint sites is labor-intensive and discouraging – especially for organizations with an ongoing need to approve, create and provision lots of sites.
Not only is manual site creation time-consuming, eating up valuable IT resources, but the backlog of sites waiting to be approved and provisioned continues to pile up -
a seemingly insurmountable mountain of work that becomes discouraging and demotivating to the IT staff.
But the alternative is worse. Organizations that let their users create their own sites end up with a disjointed, chaotic accumulation of hundreds of disconnected sites with no standards or consistency.
Those have pretty much been the only two alternatives – until now.
On May 21 at 11 a.m. EDT, PremierPoint Solutions will host a free one-hour webinar titled https://www..gotomeeting.com/register/883106934?_cldee=ZG9uQHByZW1pZXJwb2ludHNvbHV0aW9ucy5jb20%3d&utm_source=ClickDimensions&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Email%20Blast%20-%20Software [“Automating the SharePoint Site Creation Process While Enforcing Governance.”

Attendees will learn about a proven solution, Site Provisioning and Governance Assistant (SPGA), to the backlog of IT work and strain on resources that typically occur when manually creating and provisioning large numbers of SharePoint sites.
With SGPA, the administrator simply “loads” all the appropriate site functionality, settings, security and limitations into “Site Request Profiles.” Then the users select the appropriate profile for the kind of site they need and initiate the automatic approval and site creation process.
The webinar hosts are Randy Moody, PremierPoint Solutions’ customer service manager, and Jason Fitzgerald, software support engineer for the company.
Fitzgerald will lead the technical portion of the webinar. He has nearly 15 years of experience in information technology, primarily with system infrastructure engineering and administration. He has been working with and supporting Sharepoint infrastructures since 2005.
“By automating the site creation process, SPGA enables administrators to ensure that each site is created and configured uniformly and automatically, according to pre-determined settings,” Fitzgerald said.
Uniformity, governance and company standards are strictly enforced, enabling administrators to simply "set it and forget it." Users then request the type of site they need, and the site is approved, created and provisioned for them automatically.
SPGA is available for SharePoint 2010 and 2013.
