Pasco County, FL (PRWEB) September 10, 2014 -- MedActive Oral Pharmaceuticals, LLC was honored with the 2014 New Business Award on September 2nd at Pasco Economic Development Council’s 28th Annual Appreciation Banquet. At its Industry of the Year Awards held annually at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Pasco EDC recognizes local companies that exhibit exemplary growth in technology, innovation, job creation, capital investment and community service.
MedActive is an oral pharmaceutical company specializing in high compliance oral technology that safely addresses biofilm management, dry mouth, gingivitis, and more. Since January of 2013, MedActive moved its company to Pasco leasing a 22,000 square foot building, and hired 14 new employees. In 2013, the company invested $2.25 million through private equity and made several technology investments for patents, printing equipment, and marketing. MedActive expects to double its number of retail stores for distribution very soon and is working on expanding its distribution to the Caribbean.
Leadership support is strong at MedActive and the company works regularly with the University of South Florida to provide internships, as well as has initiated a program to hire veterans.
