Although approximately 36 million Americans suffer from migraine, its causes are still unknown. In spite of the prevalence of migraine and its serious effect on individuals, families and society, migraine research is severely under-funded. The Migraine Research Foundation raises money to fund innovative migraine research grants to further the understanding of its causes, to develop improved treatment targets, and to find the cure. MRF also assists sufferers by providing information and referrals. Since all of the Migraine Research Foundation’s operating costs are underwritten, every dollar donated goes to fund migraine research and support sufferers.
The Migraine Research Foundation has an established reputation within the international headache community, a focused mission, and deep knowledge of the migraine field. Since its founding in 2006, MRF has funded 33 research projects.
The Migraine Research Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ending the debilitating pain of migraine by raising money to fund research grants into its causes and better treatments.
