MissionMobility Poised For Growth Through Management Buyout
Chesapeake, VA (PRWEB) July 14, 2015 -- MissionMobility LLC, an industry-leading provider of mobile communications equipment, announces the completion of a management and investor buyout. 5BY5 PARTNERS LLC, a Virginia-based investor group led by MissionMobility’s CEO, Mike Smack, purchased the company from its former owners.
The acquisition by 5BY5 PARTNERS will give MissionMobility the capability to develop new products, enhance service offerings, expand sales distribution, and broaden its reach supporting government and commercial communication users worldwide. The buyout is part of MissionMobility’s strategic plan for continued growth in the mobile communications and IT integration industry.
In the early 2000s, in partnership with the US Joint Forces Command, MissionMobility integrated leading-edge technologies to advance tactical edge networking for joint military operations. Over the past seven years, MissionMobility operated as a reliable and trusted provider of mobile communications to DoD, other federal agencies, and commercial partners.
Today’s announcement comes on the heels of MissionMobility’s recent licensing agreement with DataPath Inc., a leading provider of remote field communications and information technology solutions, to manufacture, distribute, and service MissionMobility products worldwide. Both the DataPath agreement and the change in ownership with new investors will contribute positively to MissionMobility’s strategic goals to grow domestically and internationally.
Mike Smack, President and CEO of MissionMobility, stated, “MissionMobility’s focus has and always will be to provide effective solutions and services to our customers. The investment and support from 5BY5 PARTNERS creates the opportunity for MissionMobility to increase the scalability of its products in the marketplace, and to offer enhanced services to customers operating all over the world.”
