Montgomery County, Ohio Strengthens Workforce Development Efforts
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- The Workforce Development Division of the Montgomery County, Ohio Department of Job & Family Services is expanding its team to increase efforts of fulfilling the needs of employers and dislocated workers in the Dayton, Ohio region.
Silvia Signars Anderson has brought her talents to the MCDJFS Workforce Development Division. She started July 8, 2013 in the role of Workforce Talent Supply Manager. Her duties include helping Dayton, Ohio region employers address their workforce needs and providing workforce support to Montgomery County, Ohio’s economic development efforts. Ms. Anderson has over 20 years of experience with Supply Chain Management in the United States Air Force, where she held several executive positions and earned the rank of colonel. After retiring from the Air Force in 2007, Col. Anderson worked for four years as vice president for Lighthouse Technologies, Inc. She has focused on supply chain quality, procedures and strategy as an independent consultant for the past two years. Ms. Anderson holds a master’s degree in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University in Washington, DC and a master’s in Transportation Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana University.
Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services has hired Mark Anderson to coordinate marketing activities, primarily for the Workforce Development Division. He has more than 20 years of industry experience with Time Warner Business Class, The Chisano Marketing Group and Anderson Communications. Anderson will be based at The Job Center, where he will develop and implement communication plans designed to enhance Montgomery County’s role in developing jobs and stimulating economic growth. He will support the YouthWorks employment initiative, job seeking assistance for displaced workers and other vital programs for Montgomery County citizens. A Vandalia, Ohio resident, Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
