MountainStar AirCare Achieves NAAMTA Medical Transport Accreditation
South Jordan, UT (PRWEB) October 24, 2016 -- Following a comprehensive audit of administrative documentation, medical practices, and facilities, NAAMTA is awarding MountainStar AirCare medical transport accreditation for their rotor wing program. By attaining NAAMTA Accreditation, MountainStar AirCare confirms their dedication to safety and patient care.
The NAAMTA accreditation program is based on standards of excellence that focus on the fundamental elements of medical transport, and incorporate the principles of quality management. NAAMTA’s accreditation process includes a review of policies, procedures, and processes, employee interviews, and on-site evaluations, all conducted utilizing ISO 9001:2008 auditing guidelines.
Amy Arndt, NAAMTA’s Program Director said, “MountainStar Healthcare and AirCare signified themselves as a company of action. Formalized in early 2015, MountainStar began reviewing NAAMTA’s accreditation model because of our certified ISO Quality Management system. Through our comprehensive accreditation process, we observed documentation, simulation, and interviews with a focus on delivering high quality patient care. The responsiveness of the Program Director, Medical Director and the base managers impressed us, and demonstrated their commitment to their goal of serving the community, for both on-scene and interfacility transports throughout the intermountain region.”
In speaking of ISO certification and the audit experience, Matt Strauss, Program Director for MountainStar AirCare said, “ISO is important to my program because it assures by oversight that NAAMTA is following their own standards. The NAAMTA Standards are fair, and equally cover the appropriate standards in the industry. They allow for improvement and growth. This process has been a great learning experience.”
In addition to the accreditation award, Mountain Star Air Care joins the NAAMTA Alliance. NAAMTA Alliance members are held in high esteem for meeting stringent requirements that define and influence transport operational excellence. The NAAMTA Alliance unifies accredited organizations in the vanguard of continuous improvement in the medical transport industry.
