Murder spurs vengeance in C. (Mike) Dunaway’s new Western
EL CAJON, Calif. (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- A pair of fraternal twin brothers moves to California from Oklahoma with their parents in 1871. The brothers, Bob and Bill Larsen, settle into a 300-acre Californian ranch as part of an exchange of properties with their friend in Oklahoma. But the brothers are attacked during their stay in the westernmost U.S. state by three Yuma State Prison escapees – whom admittedly killed the twins’ parents.
In “Two Brothers” (published by Trafford Publishing), the new Western by author C. (Mike) Dunaway, Bob and Bill swear revenge upon the three escaped inmates and begin a 15-year-long quest for blood. As the brothers traverse the southwestern U.S., they learn survival and gun slinging skills on-the-fly in order to track down and kill the men who murdered their parents.
An excerpt from “Two Brothers”:
“The boys waited patiently behind the rocks as the riders came closer and closer until finally they saw them cross the water far upstream pushing the horses hard as they could, but there were no warriors in sight. When the probable outlaws were out of sight, the boys went to the same area and crossed the river. However, they cautiously traveled slightly south through the hills for several miles and then turned back toward the east, making sure not to run into any oncoming Indians. They weren’t prepared even to fight one Indian, much less a tribe.”
