NADA Ambassador Grant Supports Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship Fund
Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) July 21, 2014 -- The National Automobile Dealers (NADA) Charitable Foundation has presented a $1,500 grant to The Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship Fund. The fund is one of more than 640 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
De Willard, Jr., a prominent member of the automobile industry and owner of Ideal Buick – GMC – Hyundai in Frederick, designated the grant to support the fund as a result of qualifying for Ambassador status with the NADA Charitable Foundation. The Ambassador program provides funds to support the community that has contributed towards the success of the dealer. “Mr. Willard is well respected for his community service and philanthropic endeavors,” said Robert P. Mallon, NADA Charitable Foundation Chairman. “We are proud to count him as an Ambassador and a good friend of the NADA Foundation.”
Mr. Willard is one of three founding donors of The Maryland Master Farmers Scholarship which provides scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture. Applications are accepted each January through the Community Foundation’s website at http://www.FrederickCountyGives.org. Details can be found on the website each December.
