National Roll Call Campus Event Honored Service Members
Newark, Ohio (PRWEB) November 28, 2013 -- For the third year in a row, The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) participated in the Remembrance Day National Roll Call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, November 8 at the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre, on the co-located campuses of Ohio State Newark and COTC. Volunteers from both institutions participated in a reading of the names of fallen soldiers. A moment of silence was held at 2 p.m. Members of the community attended this free event and assisted in the reading of names.
The Remembrance Day National Roll Call is sponsored nationally by the Veterans Knowledge Community of NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. NASPA is a 12,000-member association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs professionals. The Veterans Knowledge Community (VKC) mission is to advocate for best practices to help student veterans transition to college and succeed.
