National Training Provider Supports Adult Learners’ Week
UK (PRWEB UK) 12 June 2014 -- In support of Adult Learners’ Week 14th – 20th June, Pitman Training centres across the UK are offering free sessions for people to plan the next 5 years of their career in just one week, with the goal to increase career prospects and earnings.
Local centres will be helping people plan how they can keep pushing their own boundaries and continue to learn and develop themselves professionally by helping them devise a 5 year career plan, alongside free skills demonstrations, 1-2-1 advice consultations on career planning, CV writing workshops and Career MOT, on offer throughout the week.
Claire Lister, Managing Director at Pitman Training Group said: “Pitman Training are advocates to Lifelong Learning, and we thoroughly enjoy supporting Adult Learners’ Week. We ran our in-centre open week last year during Adult Learners’ Week and it was a huge success. We saw hundreds of people from many regions, of all ages, in many different situations. Many of those who visited have kept in touch and we’re delighted to hear they’ve had success with new jobs, promotions and boosting their salaries, as a result of taking on new skills. Our sessions are informal and our friendly team has years of experience to share, so people can just come and have a chat.”
Pitman Training centres across the UK are welcoming people to drop in throughout the week and you can find out more information from your local centre by visiting http://www.pitman-training.com/locations.
Claire continued: “It’s essential, whatever your position, to continue to develop your skills. Whether you’re looking to move on, or keep progressing in your existing role, standing still is not an option these days. The corporate world moves so quickly as technology continues to evolve; working practices constantly progress, and new ways of becoming more efficient are always just around the corner.”
Adult Learners’ Week is an opportunity for individuals and organisations to celebrate the benefits of lifelong learning. Pitman Training has been synonymous with office based training since Sir Isaac Pitman invented shorthand in 1837, and the company now helps thousands of students each year progress their careers through tailor-made study programmes and Diplomas with one to one support at over 100 local centres, as well as via online courses, and short seminars to help top up skills.
