National Youth Advocate Program President Names Sharon Marconi Ohio Executive Director
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Effective January 1, 2014 Sharon Marconi, a 12-year employee of the National Youth Advocate Program, will assume the title and responsibilities of Executive Director for all programs and services throughout the state of Ohio.
Since joining the organization in 2002 Sharon has held a number of progressively responsible positions including treatment supervisor, clinical director, and director of quality advancement. Her duties and responsibilities to date, including oversight of a large foster care program have combined in such a way as to prepare her for her new position.
“Sharon is a dedicated leader and a fierce proponent of the notion that almost all young people and families can remain together safely if the appropriate resources and supports are available within the community. She recognizes that foster care is an important part of the service continuum for at risk families that need to live apart for a period of time and that our work is done best when all involved parties come together for the sake of children and families,” says Marvena Twigg, NYAP's CEO.
Sharon is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and a National Certified Counselor. She has a master’s degree in counseling and is a graduate of Ohio University.
