New Book Provides Readers With a Thorough Understanding of Education
AUSTRALIA (PRWEB) May 31, 2014 -- For over 25 years or so, Chandana Watagodakumbura has observed a lack of depth and integrated approach in providing education. The meaning of education has always been a mystery question to him. For example, why is it that obtaining a good grade for a course is not always the same as getting a deeper understanding of the content? All this time, he has been on a personal exploration in defining and identifying better ways of providing education. In “Education from a Deeper and Multidisciplinary Perspective”, the author attempts to answer the said questions by identifying some of the less obvious limitations of one’s current pedagogical and social practices.
“Education from a Deeper and Multidisciplinary Perspective” predominantly talks about providing education to masses in a deeper and integrated approach than what is currently being practiced. It highlights the need for addressing individual learner characteristics, especially the psychological and neurological ones in the mainstream education system allowing learners to follow individualized learning paths in becoming fully functioning human beings. Education is seen in a broader way that helps individuals to develop humanistically, thus perceiving the reality as is, or better.
This innovative and engrossing book gives readers a new and more thorough perspective towards education.
“Education from a Deeper and Multidisciplinary Perspective” is undoubtedly a must-read for educators all over the world.
