The firm brings its experience representing clients in high-stakes oil and gas litigation to the greater DFW area. Additionally, Benson Siebenhausen handles diverse, complex matters for businesses and corporations. Founding partner, Brandon Benson, began his legal career at the nationally recognized law firm Locke Lord LLP, where he quickly gravitated to oil and gas law. He went on to serve as the Oil and Gas General Counsel IV for the General Land Office of the State of Texas, and then worked in the private sector for a large, publicly traded mineral and royalty company, where he oversaw all of the land and legal processes related to the mineral and working interest operations and acquisitions. Brandon regularly counsels clients in acquisitions and dispositions of leasehold and mineral properties and the negotiation of leases, contracts and other agreements related to upstream oil and gas.
Lesley Siebenhausen, also a founding partner of the firm, has extensive oil and gas law experience as well. After training as a litigator at Fletcher & Springer, Lesley transitioned into oil and gas, initially performing oil and gas title examination. She also oversaw several large due diligence projects for leasehold acquisitions as a land manager for a large land services company. Lesley’s current practice includes examining oil and gas title, rendering title opinions, and preparing documents for oil and gas transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and related assignments. She also counsels clients on the acquisitions of producing and undeveloped mineral properties.
